Provence  

When I was 20 years old, I did not understand Provence. Too calm. Too much nature. Not enough humans moving around. And today, 30 years later, I'm in love with it. Quiet, beautiful, discreet and inviting. Provence has not changed, of course, it is I who know how to look at it and find my place here.  

First of all, Provence is about magnificent properties where we have the right to rest without looking at our mobile phone and emails. Properties where we love inviting friends around. Or get invited. Properties ranging from the oldest farmhouse to the newest construction, respecting the charm of sobriety. They are so reassuring, I want to try them all! I've been renting one property a year for a few years and I'm never disappointed.

And then there are the villages we visit and show our friends around. They are dazzled with Gordes and his perched castle. They are amazed by Roussillon and its colourful similarity to Colorado. We make them travel and laugh with Lacoste and his castle of the Marquis de Sade. And then Menerbes, and Rustrel, and Isle-sur-la-Sorgue ... Look them up and visit them. The Baux-de-Provence too ... Hurry up and have a look at the quarries of light!  

Nature is tamed but omnipresent. It does not crush you but surrounds you delicately. Nature makes you believe that you are at the centre of a painter’s masterpiece. One who lived in the region, of course. If you drive at night from Gordes to Carpentras, you will come across foxes, wild boars and dears. True! I had never seen so many.  

Also, people are kind and discreet. They let you share their region without chauvinism while respecting your desire for tranquillity.   Clearly, I love Provence and I want to continue to discover what it has to offer because it does me good. Provence wants what’s good for me.   Come and discover Provence.
