The bastide is a construction intended for an agricultural exploitation.
The bastide is distinguished in two parts in the direction of the length. The first part serving as a dwelling, and the second part reserved for the animals. This consists, in most cases, of a shed, most often used as a stable. To this set are added annexes with their own uses.
This type of construction is widely coveted in the Luberon region thanks to the fertile land it offered. Today, many of them have been renovated for use as prestigious homes for sale at Rosier.
