THE LUBERON JAZZ FESTIVAL, festival of jazz music in Apt in Luberon, Vaucluse

The Luberon Jazz Festival is held in late May at Apt in Provence. Apt, the subprefecture of the Vaucluse - meaning it is the capital of the northern Luberon - hosts an annual jazz festival, the Luberon Jazz Festival. But this is not just a music festival, it is above all a way to discover many types of jazz music through concerts and dances, but also films, games, etc.

To give you an idea, here are a few of the 80 artists who performed in the city during the 2012 festival: Michel Portal, Lionel Suarez, Monica Passos, André Minvielle, Rita Martoculli, Gastard Frédéric Louis Sclavis, Paolo Damiani, Renaud Garcia Fons and Laurent Dehors.

Normally free for accompanied children under age 12. The programme is available on the offical website www.luberonjazz.net
