La Venise Provençale et ses marchés des Antiquaires et Brocanteurs

The Provençal town of Isle sur la Sorgue is known worldwide for its markets of Antique and Curiosity draining thousands of people from around the world each year. After Saint Ouen, the city is the second largest city in France for Antiques.

The market is held on Thursdays and Sundays, a picturesque flea market extends throughout the city. Four internationally renowned fairs for Antiques take place at Easter, Pentecost, August 15 and All Saints day.

Called the Venice Comtadine or Provençale, the city is surrounded by canals where a peaceful and abundant Sorgue flows.

Enjoy the cobbled streets, beautiful shops with sparkling colors, old houses, canals still adorned with their old paddle wheels dating from the time when the mills and spinners were living the city, the restaurants at the water's edge, parks and trees.

For antics lovers, Isle sur la Sorgue offers great moments and for the others too....
